Stoneware flower brick to hold cut flowers
Hand made using rolled sheets of white stoneware clay
11 holes allow for easy display of flowers; ideal for tulips, roses and other short stemmed flowers
Impressed ginkgo leaves on each side panel with copper oxide wash over impressions. Glazed inside and outside with a transparent glaze.
The leaves that have been impressed into the clay are from the Ginkgo biloba, also known as the maidenhair tree. The leaves were collected from Kew Gardens during Autumn, when the trees there were shedding their leaves.
Fired in an electric kiln to 1260 degrees centigrade
